As i said in the fc thread, I'm working in a breakdown tool, which will be able to read breakdowns, fix errors, translate them to a readable language, etc

The point is, that i need comunity help for developing this, so I can make a bug-free beta version ASAP (sun)

1.- what features would you want to see, or which of the ones I said wont be interesting for you?
2.- what modifiers do you know? I need to make a list of all modifiers (riser, release, extended, twisted) in order to identify them
3.- what tricks with multiple words do you know? I only thought about "cobra catapulte " but I'm sure there are more

Feedback is appreciated. When the webpage starts being usefull, I'll post it here

First, I think you have to touch 2 kind of penspinners :
-Beginners / people that don't care about breakdown neo-elfic bitching
-Pro who are pro. Ü

IMO, you have to make a lot of "do you want moar details ?" and surely a database of what x is. (A reverse is [blablabla] )

Add to this a Eng/French/Spanish/Etc translation, and it'll be the best site ever (sun)

About the translations... I'm doing it now in spanish. I'll implement some kind of language files so everyone can add his own language.

What do you mean by : "translate them to a readable language" ?

1) Features :
- In my head, the program works this way : At the beginning you've got a full breakdown in front of you, and each word works like a spoiler tag that expands if you click it. The content of the spoiler would be the explanation of the trick, but why not (in a second time) add explanation videos, tips, comments "thumbs up if you think this trick is so beautiful", candies, etc... Of course, in order to explain the trick, you've got to mention other tricks, so at the end it makes a huge spoilerception. There would be a button "expand all" and a button "unexpand (too lazy to look up the word) all"
- Many colours, but no green, because green is not a creative colour.

2) reverse inverse moonwalk (even though it doesn't exist anymore, this modifier rocks) mirrored fingerless flick raimo devil's (lol) riser release pop side harmonic counter

Nope for twisted. Yep for extended. Extended is just like bust, but bust is used only after sonic tricks "as far as I know"
not sure about this. UPSB wiki may have something

extended infinity also exists, and has nothing to do with bust. (well, fuck this trick no one's ever used)

EDIT - After some work today, I've got the program to understand basic notation. For example

PD ring middle around rev 34 1.0

Is processed as

PD - handPosition simple
ringmiddlearound - trick advanced
rev - dirModifier simple
34 - slotModifier simple
1.0 - spinModifier simple

Now I just need to complete the database, and continue with more complex things ^^

About PD :
I dont know how to fix this. I think that the easiest thing is to erase all : in the input text. : is not used for anything except that. Right?

Fuck you is the most essential trick in everyones life. I must have thought about that.

I'll try, but its difficult to even validate basic slots (now slots are not validated and have over9000 bugs if you test them a bit)

So what I am doing

1.- trying to identificate well fingercrossings
2.- knowing if fingercrossings are specific or general
3.- validate basic slots
4.- validate basic fingercrossings and complete slots if the fingercrossing is general

general and specific fcs are some terms i just invented for this (i have to give names for everything, its tiring) and this is what they are

12-23 [fc 12] is a general fingercrossing. By definition, this means
12[fc 12]-23[fc 12]
which are specific fingercrossings (each one applies to each slot)

this would be easy if people respected logical spacing. But people are dumb and call tf TF and P p, and too much other shit, so they wont respect this neither. So this is difficult. So i dont know if i will be able to implement your slots nor * slot in beta version

QUESTION -> How should i proccess this?

so there i have an specific fc and a general one. I should translate that into this

or just erase the general one and give an error?

Well, simultaneous tricks was something that i didnt even thought. Now is only adding |+ to my regular expression, but in some days, when i start validating hybrids, with [p] [s] [c] modifiers, presets will be complicated. Reaaaally complicated D:
